One of the many hallmarks of hospitality is service. And, as a way of giving recognition to the many Service Heroes working in the hospitality and service industry, HAPA has introduced a new platform called HAPA WOW, that captures and recognises WOW moments by our Service Heroes in the industry.
HAPA was formed with a vision to elevate service standards by recognising and rewarding outstanding establishments and passionate individuals who have shown drive, dedication and commitment to excellence in the hospitality industry.
“Everyone has an opinion about Malaysian hospitality and while hospitality from the heart is a desired outcome, in reality, standards have declined, and this affects service levels and impacts upon the country’s tourism image. HAPA Awards is a hospitality recognition programme going back some two decades ago that recognises those making a valuable contribution as front liners as well as those who work back-of-the-house. Through our discussions with industry leaders, HAPA has developed the HAPA WOW programme which identifies and recognises Service Heroes going the extra mile to deliver excellent service.” asserts Jennifer Ong, founder of HAPA and publisher of Hospitality Asia.
“We are developing a platform that consists of WOW digital media, WOW recognition awards and WOW service training to uplift service standards. We intend for HAPA WOW to be one of the most powerful platforms in celebrating positive moments by recognising these passionate Service Heroes. Most of us have experienced WOW moments. We just don’t pay enough attention to document them and give due recognition to those who contributed to those moments. Therefore, when service is excelled, improvised and enhanced, commendation must be accorded to boost and intensify further positive development for the passionate individual as well as the establishment.”
The new HAPA WOW platform enables members of the public to be judges of service excellence and to recognise passionate Service Heroes who walk the extra mile in creating WOW moments. The platform will also recognise customers for appreciating these Service Heroes as well as hospitality establishments who make the effort to provide and improve customer experience.
